1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of Valise ("the platform", "the service"), operated by Kristoff Bertram (LogoDebut gcv, ON 0812.327.191) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Account registration

To use Valise, you must create an account using a valid e-mail address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 16 years old to use this service.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you post on Valise, including threads, replies, media uploads, and poll responses. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, and distribute your content within the platform as necessary to operate the service.

You are responsible for the content you post. You must not post content that:

  • Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or invasive of another's privacy.
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights of others.
  • Contains spam, commercial solicitations, or malware.
  • Impersonates another person or entity.

4. Media uploads

You may upload images and other media to the platform. By uploading media, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate the rights of any third party. We may generate thumbnails and resize media for display purposes. Uploaded media is visible to other registered members.

5. Community conduct

Valise is built on mutual respect. We expect members to:

  • Be respectful and constructive in interactions.
  • Keep discussions relevant to their respective Spaces.
  • Respect the privacy of other members.
  • Not use the platform for commercial advertising without permission.

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep Valise available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

7. Account deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. If you need help, you can also contact support@vanlifeseeker.com. Upon deletion, your personal data and uploaded media will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The Valise name, logo, design, and underlying software are our property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence remain unaffected.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via e-mail. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
